The town of Bucerias is well-known for its beautiful beaches and friendly people, but it has become famous for its eclectic collection of galleries, excellent restaurants, and exciting nightlife. Lázaro Cardenas Street runs parallel to the sand and is home to Bucerias’ best kept secrets for entertainment. Starting from the north end of town you’ll find The Twisted Rose, a popular venue for live music and dancing, and the Shamrock Irish Pub is just around the corner. The beach is lined with colorful bars and restaurants offering seafood and traditional Mexican dishes and upon reaching the town plaza visitors have an array of street tacos and sweet stands to choose from. Continuing on, past the open-air market and over the stone bridge, the town quiets down and the twinkling lights of entrances to fine dining and art galleries line the street.

In the late afternoons, fishermen arrive to cast giant nets into the rolling surf while families play in the sand. Locals say the slower pace and coastal charm of Bucerias is similar to Puerto Vallarta 40 years ago. The cobblestone streets, friendly people and beautiful gardens add to the true community feeling, making Bucerias a fun and entertaining place throughout the year.
